Located in the upper abdomen, just below the ribcage, this chakra is associated with personal power, self-esteem, and confidence. The Solar Plexus Chakra radiates vibrant yellow energy and is often depicted as a bright, sunny yellow or a golden yellow lotus flower. This colour represents the warmth, energy, and positivity associated with this chakra.

  1. Visualization and Meditation: Find a quiet space and sit or lie down comfortably. Close your eyes and envision a bright yellow light glowing at your Solar Plexus. Imagine this light expanding and filling your entire abdominal area. As you do so, repeat affirmations like, "I am confident," or "I am in control of my life." Or you can add in the chant “Raaaaaammmmmmm” to bring healing through sound vibration. Regular meditation and visualization can help cleanse and balance this chakra.

  2. Wear Yellow: Incorporating the colour yellow into your wardrobe can have a subtle yet effective impact on your Solar Plexus Chakra. Choose yellow clothing or accessories like jewellery or scarves to help stimulate and align this energy centre.

  3. Mindful Eating: Since the Solar Plexus Chakra is closely tied to digestion, paying attention to your diet is crucial. Consume foods that are yellow or associated with the sun, such as bananas, corn, and yellow peppers. Eating mindfully, with gratitude for the nourishment, can enhance the chakra's balance.

  4. Yoga and Physical Exercise: Certain yoga poses, like the Boat Pose (Navasana) and the Warrior III Pose (Virabhadrasana III), can activate and harmonize the Solar Plexus Chakra. Engaging in regular physical exercise can also boost your self-esteem and overall confidence.

  5. Self-Acceptance and Self-Care: Embrace and accept yourself fully, flaws and all. Engage in self-care practices that make you feel good about yourself, whether it's taking a relaxing bath, practising deep breathing exercises, attending a guided meditation and sound bath, Crystal Reiki Healing or pursuing hobbies that boost your self-esteem.
