5 Ways to Balance Your Chakra's

Chakra Balancing

I'm sure most of us have heard about The Chakra's and how important it is to have them in alignment. But do you know why it's so important?


There are many reasons why having balanced chakra's is important. The chakra's are the 7 major energy centres in the body. If energy is able to flow through use with ease, to interact with the Universal Life Energy that surrounds us, we create an inner harmony that leads to physical and emotional well-being.


Blocked energy leads to dis-ease and disease in body, mind and spirit. Take anxiety for example. It is well documented that there is a link between the mind experiencing anxious thinking and the body reacting through upset stomachs, headaches, shaking, sweating and other physical ailments.


By working on what we are thinking and feeling, by using what we know about chakra's, we can effectively heal or "unblock" the energy flows and being and bring a sense of flow back into our lives.


So how can we "work on our chakra's?"


Tip #1 - Become aware of what and how you feel


This can be as simple as making a note on a piece of paper, on your notes app on your phone or device about what you are thinking and feeling during they day. Especially take note of where in your body you feel the dis-ease.


Keep this up for a week or two and see if you can see any patterns between what you were thinking and how you were feeling. Is there a particular part of your body that you are regularly feeling unwell? Which chakra is that part of the body associated with?



Tip #2 - Meditate


Before you dismiss this by thinking "I can't meditate", know that meditation is a practice that takes practice! No one becomes good at meditation by doing it one. You have to persist and find the style of meditation that works for you. Try my guided meditations for the chakras (See here) to see if guided meditation is a style that works for you.

Tip #3 - Invest in YOU!


When was the last time you did something that was just for you, your health, your well-being? I'm not talking about a one-off grand gesture, but regular, sustainable care for yourself. Something as easy as a regular yoga practice focused on aligning mind and body can help bring balance into your chakras.


Tip #4 - Connect With Nature


Mother nature is one of the most underrated and overlooked natural healers we all have free access to. If you need grounding, walk in your garden barefoot, if you are feeling stressed go for a walk, need re-energising stand in the sun and take in some deep breaths. Healing and working on our chakras doesn't have to be expensive. We just need to become aware of what is around us!


Tip #5 - Ask For Help!


Can you go it alone? Absolutely, if that's what you want to do. But, will you actually do it? Do you have the time to do the research, learn the necessary skills and then implement what you have learned?


The tools you can use to heal your chakras are wide-ranging from yoga and meditation to crystals and sound healing. Talk therapy, Reiki, mindfulness, the list is almost endless on different ways you can bring balance and harmony to your chakras.


There is no quick fix and it will take time, dedication and practice to bring about the changes required to feel as though your energy is flowing cleanly through the chakra's
